‘Property of The Red Oni, the Oni’s Claws is a custom-made Katana forged by the demon herself. Its hilt is a striking vermilion; with black inscriptions of ‘Violence, Revenge and Wrath’ along it. The weapon itself vibrates when used, which makes it tenfold more useful against flesh and metal alike. When sheathed, there’s a trigger at the hilt - which, when pulled, will launch the sword out for a perfect iaido technique.’ This weapon has an increased dismemberment chance.

STORY

Birthed in a seemingly normal family in the Suburbs of Manhattan, New York, Adriane was raised with something of a silver spoon in her mouth. Good grades, good friends, decent family-life, one would assume it was a particularly normal childhood. Her brother, Marcus Ingenia, was a quiet young man, but always desired more of his life -- more adventure, more adrenaline -- and it seemed that his necessity for more had rubbed off on a younger Adriane. She would grow more daring - picking fights and scraps - to eventually pick up Taekwondo at a nearby dojo. Paying for it with the money from a weekend job, Adriane became gradually proficient in hand-to-hand combat. Though, it seemed that the halcyon days of being a full family wouldn’t last long - as Marcus left to join the United States Marine Corps - like his father. Left alone, without the influence of her brother, she easily grew bored - gradually coming to the decision to join the USMC instead of going to college.Getting into the USMC was easy enough for her with all the training she had been doing. It didn’t take her long, with her drive and skill, to wind up getting all the way to the rank of Major, OF-3, within the Corps. However it was later that year she obtained that rank that she would catch news of her brother. In the last mission he had been on, things had gotten out of control and a firefight broke out. Marcus had been shot multiple times, and despite rushing him to the evac chopper, he died before getting to the medbay. The news infuriated Adriane to a level where she couldn’t rationalize still being within the Marines. So, she did the only thing that made sense, and she left the USMC mid-tour, gaining her animosity within the military ranks. But she really couldn’t give a damn, believing that they let her brother die.Though, after leaving; she was provided with an offer. To avenge her brother, and work for the gradually-growing Gang of Four.It didn’t seem too bad, actually. A way to stab back at the government while getting decent money and training in turn.So, quite akin to her time in the USMC, Adriane climbed the ranks quite well - ending up with becoming one of their greatest Operatives. Every mission, every small-scale assassination - performed under her hand, or someone who had been trained by her.It all culminated in 1994, when Adriane assassinated President James Richard Allen and Vice President Harold Harrinson Hunt.Shortly thereafter, the Gang of Four came under immense heat - outside services slowly starting to peel away the many layers of secrecy. It was then that the GoF realized they’d have to hide their greatest assets - one of them being Adriane.Using recently-created cryogenic freezing,the GoF sealed their Hound away and forced her into slumber until they could somehow escape the hot water they were in.Which, of course - didn’t happen. Sealed deep under what used to be Northern California (now Night City) Adriane stayed - until 2076, when a gang of Inquisitors dug her up from her slumber, believing her to be the perfect advocate for their anti-cyberware message.Shortly after stirring, Adriane slaughtered the lot of them, stole their Euro-dollars, and fled into the dark of the city. It was there, by using the remains of Euro-dollars on her, that she managed to get half of her Cyberware. First, the Optics and the Operating System - just enough to get her by while selling herself as a Bodyguard.During this time, she looked into what remained of the Gang of Four and found…nothing. They’d dissolved, bloodily and messily - and…she had free will. Free reign over herself.Then, the hound without a leash, Adriane continued onwards - picking up riskier jobs as she acquired more of her Cyberware. Deeper and deeper down her self-improvement rabbit hole, until she became strong enough. It was here, certainly strong enough, that she began to garner new names - certain zones giving her titles. Rumors of ‘The Red Oni’, ‘The Woman Out of Time’, ‘The Red Death’, ‘The Leashless Hound’, spilling all across Night City.Renowned as a mercenary - she sells her skills in stealth, aggression, ultraviolence and picture-perfect accuracy. However, she's recently delved into making a gang of her own - known as the 'Oni Gang', they have no specific territory; instead using their gang status as a form of 'found family'.
